It fits my 5x8" day planner, phone, wallet, makeup, 2 glasses cases, hand lotion, pens, and gum with room to spare. I may buy another one for when this one wears out. This bag is cute but has a distinctly unpleasant odor that I can't seem to get rid of yet. I considered returning it but felt it wouldn't be cost effective because of the cost of shipping. It is great for the price. The leather is very soft and the bag serves its purpose. I can strap it on and go. If you have a phone that is a newer model, it doesn't fit on the pocket that is on the side and it probably wouldn't stay if you had one that fits anyway. My things fall out easily so be careful not to leave anything slightly unzipped. This soft leather mini packpack is just the practical handbag/purse I needed for work or days off. I'm very happy with this item. It's an excellent value for the money. Made of soft leather, it's larger than your average backpack-purse, but still about half the size of a normal backpack. There are lots of pockets, including a cell phone holder, two zip-up pockets in front with a credit card/pen holder compartment, and one pocket on back, which I don't use and is probably not practical. Back straps are not padded, but sturdy enough to deal with daily usage as either a shoulder bag or a backpack.
