Maxam Italian Stone Design Genuine Lambskin Leather Belt BagReviewsToo many pockets, I prefer more simple, sometime we couldn't find the thing we are looking for. We are pro photographers, and needed something that looked nice, held alot, and would stay closed under pressure. This did it, and for a nice price too. We ordered two to start with, we use them in about every typed of situation you can think of. The winner was a event with about 4000 people. We needed to keep fresh change of batteries, soft box for flash, and cards. These held all that an more, and they still looked good. I've used and abused mine for a year now, and it's starting to show wear. However, because it's now so much apart of our uniforms, and packs I only retired it to personal use like a favorite pair of tennis shoes or jeans. I ordered 4 more for our new camera packs, and I will continue to order these as we need them in the future. Now I have trouble with one arm and have to unzip fast, change out what I need and get to moving. When we 1st got them, this was a little hard to do, but the more you zip and unzip the new wears off the zippers to a smooth action, but stays shut when closed. I know we have even over filled them, and they still keep going. Includes overfilled, phone, an two way radio.....they still keep going. If you fasten from the back and have the pack facing front, just be careful you get it fully lached, or it can and will come unlached on you. This is howevera user issue, not product issue. I have also given a review in the private photography arena on this product. the fanny pack is made well and looks nice. the only problem is that it is a bit too small. I was expecting 5 zipper areas in addition to the two small side zipper areas and the fanny pack had only 4 zipper areas accounting for my disappointment. I love this bag. I had one like it a few years earlier and couldn't find a replacement. Lo and behold, checked out Amazon-dot-com and here it was! I really like the patch work and of course the price can't be beat. It is roomy for a fanny pack. No problem with the zippers either. I really like this one. Average Rating:![]() |

Embassy Genuine Leather Belt BagReviewsThe bag is made of genuine leather, feel soft and comfortable. It is black and looks pretty cool and easy to fit with your outfit. This belt bag has six pockets, and has enough space to hold your stuff in. I usually carry my fat wallet(with all my cards) and my compact camera, they fit well in the main pocket. Sometimes I want to carry my mp3, I put in the inner main pocket(the one closest to your body). For all other things, like keys, ticket or recipt or other papers, they all go into the front pockets. Very handy and convenient, I love it. The "Belt Bag" is very soft and well made. The number and placement of pockets is great for me. I use the private, flat pouch on the back for money and credit cards. The big, central pouch will lay flat if empty, but push out when I need to carry a lot (not often, but much appreciated when needed). The number of smaller pockets open easily and let me keep the ipod, cell phone, and house key (and more, if needed) handy but separate so they don't scratch against each other when I run. The only drawback is the same one I have found with any pack I have tried so far and that is that I wish the belt would cinch a little smaller. Than can be solved with a needle and thread or a safety pin, yet it would be nice to have a perfect fit. Average Rating:![]() |

Large Fanny Pack Waist Bag w/Cell Phone Holder & Credit Card Organizer in Black LeatherReviewsJust wanted to say that I love my new fanny pack, needed one for our trip and thought how could I get one quickly and not have to go all over trying to find one because you can't find them everywhere, so I thought, I know I'll go on Amazon and they will have free shipping...Well I found this one, it is all leather and really good size and has every compartment imaginable..What is so great about it also is that it fits my husbands waist too, so the strap really opens up to a good size..You can also use it over your shoulder as a purse..It is great, and I am very well pleased with it!! The size was so large that I could not wear it as a fanny pack, unless I was very large myself. I bought this for my brother in law for Christmas. Lots of pockets and very roomy. He loved it! It was exactly what I was looking for. I bought it for a present. He was very pleased to get it. I like the roominess of the bag and the convenience of not having to carry anything in my pockets. The only down side is that the cell phone pocket will not accomodate the iPhone. Average Rating:![]() |

Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar PackReviewsI worked at a summer camp and this thing was so nice- it held a lot and wasn't as hot or cumbersome as a backpack. I actually have been too lazy to move my stuff out into a normal purse. If you can get past the fact that people think you're wearing a huge fannypack it's pretty amazing. I have found this to be most useful on day hikes, particularly for carrying camera gear and snacks/water for the day. Comfortable, durable and easy to use. This is a great item, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it is a great value. Originally I thought this bag might be a bit too big as I am only a day hiker. But after using it for over 70 miles of hiking I can truly say that if it were any smaller I would have been disappointed. It holds 2 water bottles, a jacket, and snacks with still the outside pocket to hold maps, etc. I bought the currant red - great color - I like the contrasting yellow lining - makes things easier to find. I do wish the zipper cords were also yellow - they tend to 'hide', but I can easily fix that myself by tying on additional bright cord. The pack sits very comfortably on the lower back - no straps pulling on my shoulders ( I hate that!) and has lots of adjustable straps to get the fit just right. Backpack style straps are available as an add-on if you want that kind of fit. The bag also comes with a detachable shoulder strap and built in handles at the top of the bag - great design. Overall, a very versatile pack that gets lots and lots of use. I am a person who researches things to 'death' before buying them, this was a GREAT purchase. This is the best lumbar pack I've ever Had I use it primarily for knocking around town with my camera gear or day hikes with food/water/stove and a few extras and it works great for both. The capacity is just right. Not to big like some I've seen where you might as well add backpack straps. Not to small, it can hold what I need it to. Features I have a couple of camelbacks but I was looking for something a little faster and cooler that is easier to access. With the Camelback if I want to carry something other than water I have to unsling it to get at it. I have small kids so I frequently have their milk or sippy cups and having to unsling it whenever they want a drink is a pain. But with this the side mesh pockets can hold 2x 20oz bottles and make access a breeze. The fact that it goes on the waist instead of the back is also a big plus. I live in Texas and the summers are hot and humid. So not having something strapped on my back makes life a little cooler. Access to what you need is easy, its not a long tube like the camelback. Of course you can't hold as much. But if your not taking that much you don't have to fish around as much with the same kit to find something. The all important Strap The strap is one of the best parts, its amazingly useful. When you have it loaded up putting it on your waist can be tricky since it sags a bit. Trying to get it on the right spot and clicked up can be challenging. But the strap makes it easy, slip the strap over one shoulder to take up the weight and slack, snap the belt, synch it up and slide the strap off and your ready to go. Also when you access stuff the strap is great, if your under load the main body of the unit is under compression (keeps it tight and stable) but this can make it hard to pull things out. Slip up the strap, take off the load and unsnap the belt and its easy to go fishing. When you need to run fast the unit and flop up and down making it uncomfortable, just bring the strap up and take some weight off and you can run without a problem. Or you can just use the strap and stow the waist belt (it slides in underneath the lumbar support) and use it as a bag. The strap pad is quite good. If straps are not your thing you can detach it and just go with the pack. I was worried at first the strap might get in the way but I've never had problems and its always there when I need it. Pockets Everywhere This pack has a lot of pockets. There is of course the main pocket which is shaped and kind of rectangular, this is where most of your business goes. Attached to the inside front is an envelop sized zipper pocket, useful for loose change, batteries and other small knickknacks. In the front is another pocket, though if you've got the main section loaded up and strapped down this pocket isn't very useful. Its not bellowed or anything so the main support pulls on it. There is a plastic key clip inside. I use it for a mini LED flashlight. In the back you have your lumbar pad, nice mesh coated foam. It has a pass thorough behind it from left to right on the sides. This is where you would stow the waist belt if you were not using it. Then behind that is another pocket, open at the top that runs the height of the pack. Useful for large flat things that stick out like maps or pamphlets. Not really big enough for a book. You could fit a DVD case in but that would be pushing it. The side mesh pockets just make the unit, there not as deep as I'd like but I've gone up to 20oz gatoraide bottles and never lost one. A normal around the town load for me will be 2x 20oz bottles, a heavy pro F2.8 lens, Flash an extra small SLR body or point and shoot camera, table tripod, extra batteries, 50mm lens, remote triggers, a few snacks and knickknacks. It handles it all very well. Out in the woods I might have the 2x 20 oz bottles, water, mini stove (snowpeak), titanium pot, spoon and some freeze dried food and munchies for the day and maybe my SLR or a flash. Getting things out can sometimes be tricky but it works. If I need a jacket or a shirt I'll have it strapped to the outside as long as its light. The further out you hang something the more you notice it. Belts and Handles and Mounting Points The waist belt is broad and comfortable, the inside is mesh coated. It has a good balance of stiffness and flexibility. It wraps around your hips pretty well and distributes the load well. It has 2 stablizing straps on each side to get your load nice and balanced. There is a small plastic clip on a nylon strap in the middle. The clip is to small for much except running 3/4 inch webbing through it, but throw a carabeener on the stap and you've got more utility. The buckle is the large 50mm snap type, easy to operate, works well. You can tighten the belt from either side. On the bottom are two more stabilizing straps, so you can shrink or tighten the bottom if need be. I've found if you full extend them you can use them to hold thinks like a therma rest, a tarp or an umbrella. Pretty handy. Also two more strap loops On the front is a shock cord webbing. Does a good job of holding a jacket and still giving easy access to the main compartment. On the top are two carry handles, very nice touch, use them a lot. Construction All the external zippers have nice yellow nylon pull ties with rubber coated ends on them. Easy to see, easy to use. The external bag is high quality condura like nylon, the inner lining is light weight ripstop. Its double sewn in all the critical places. A note on color I originally bought this bag in black, returned it and got the red bag. My wife though it more attractive but more importantly was finding things. You had black straps and black zippers on a black bag. It just all blended together and I found myself having to hunt for openings and straps more than I wanted to. The only "problems" I have with the bag really isn't a flaw of the design, but rather a limitations. If you have it all tightened up it can be hard to pull things out, most of the time you have to un-strap the belt to get some slack. Also when you adjust the load you often have to adjust some of the straps to snug it back up again or loosen it up again to fit right. Be mindful of that and you won't have a problem. Also if you load it up too much it can sag and be not as comfortable. You'll have to figure your exact point (it depends on how well the belt rides on you). For me (I'm thin) I can carry a decent load and still be fine. So to summarize Pros- Great design, wonderful strap and pockets, great flexibility with adjustments and mounting points. Cons- None other than watch your configuration Conclusion- A great bag, not as big or as high capacity as my camelbacks but more useful in most conditions. Average Rating:![]() |

Boston Traveler Genuine Leather Fanny PackReviewsBoston Traveler Genuine Leather Fanny Pack http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000PUC72Y/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title I needed a safe way to carry all the things I would normally put in my purse. This does it in an attractive (Genuine Leather)way. I am very please with the product and the prompt service of the company. I purchased this leather bag for our trip to Disney in April. I was late in ordering it, but it came earlier than I expected it to so I had plenty of time to decide just which compartment to put things in. It was very comfortable to wear, and carried my phone and camera nicely. The only glitch was the front zippered compartment. I learned after the first night to use this for things I would not need on a regular basis. I thought I was putting our park-hopper passes into the bag, but my husband's was the only one that made it. Mine fell on the ground. I was able to get another, but it did cause me some anxious moments, and a lesson. The Strap came unsewed and came apart on the third wearing of the pack. They emailed me and said they would send me a email with a Fedex label to send it back. I haven't seen the Fedex label as of yet. (10 days) Sewing of straps was not heavy enough. The leather of the pack itself was very nice but became unusable without a strap. Average Rating:![]() |

Derek Alexander Leather Leather Fanny PackReviewsThis pack has a nice finish and roomy pockets. But there are two things not so good about it: a minor problem and a bigger one. The minor problem is that the outer pocket has to be snapped closed. This works fine, I suppose if you're keeping nothing in it that could be broken by the pressure necessary to snap something closed. The bigger problem is that the clasp that keeps it around one's waist is very weak. I've had it come lose bending over and sitting in a car. Average Rating:![]() |

Genuine Leather Black Fanny Pack Waist Bag with Cell Phone PouchReviewsthe sash is too short, the cell phone holder gets in the way of the zippers, like another commentator noted. The cell phone holder is also too narrow. Tossed it in the trash. I am aware that fanny pack waist bags are no longer "in". However, I am a 70 years young senior and convenience preceeds fashion at my age. So, I ordered and received my genuine leather fanny pack waist bag with cel phone pouch and freed my hands/arms from various size of bags. Why not choose comfort when we can? It is well made and as described and in my opinion everybody needs it. So, go ahead. My old nylon fanny pack has lasted me almost 20 years and I've worn it almost everyday. But, since it's really starting to look bad, I thought I'd upgrade to a new leather one. For less than $15.00, this leather fanny pack seems like a pretty good deal. The leather is good quality and looks like it will last a while. On the downside, I was disappointed with the strap. It's only an inch wide and it's incredibly long. Even on the tightest setting, it's too loose for my waist (30"). The clasp and the zippers on the pockets seem very lightweight - and I doubt they will last as long as the ones on my nylon fanny pack. My only other criticism is that they sewed the velcro closure for the cell phone pocket too high up, so it bulges upward and also interferes with the zipper on the largest pocket. Despite all that, I think I'll keep it. I can always make alterations on it to improve the design (except for those zippers). If you need space and quality, this is an excellent choice. While a little smaller than the typical fanny pack, this puppy is big enough for most things such as wallets, I.D., misc stuff like contact lens drops, case, comb..you get the idea. What's really nice is that there is no plastic liner, hems or other materials that flake away. That can get old. Instead, you'll find a very nicely made piece. Stitching is quality and the liner material feels nice while appearing to be strong and durable and the pockets are a plenty. The small one on the front is very convenient and the one next to it is equally nice. Plus the main pocket is nice sized and the small packet area on the back is a nice feature. Plenty of room for your things whether their notes, a pda. The cell phone holder is nice to have even though I keep mine on my belt next to my handy talkie whilst at work so I put my hand lotion in it. Great fit. Ever wish you had lotion after washing up before dinner whilst out? Sure comes in handy. How will it wear? We'll find out but so far, so good and the price is certainly right. I'd be lost with out this pack. Worth every penny. Highly recommended. The only drawback is the buckle is very strong and takes a strong hand to unbuckle it. Once you snap it on, it's not going anywhere. This fanny pack is a perfect fit for my Amazon Kindle. I needed a way to carry my Kindle with me when I travel on public transportation to the the city (San Francisco). The Kindle fits neatly into the large fanny pack compartment even when it is zipped shut. (Unfortunately it will not fit in the fanny pack when the Kindle cover is on.) It is made of genuine leather and is well constructed which makes it a real value at the price I paid for it. Average Rating:![]() |

Mountainsmith Day Recycled-Fabric Lumbar PackReviewsThis is the largest and best constructed lumbar pack available. The model constructed from recycled materials is great. Buy this with confidence. This is exactly what I needed, but you have to remember that it is not designed for heavy loads. For winter day hikes or longer warm weather hikes, this can carry everything I need. It's not hard to overload the pack, though. The pockets and details are useful without being silly. Some packs add bells and whistles for the sake of having more features, but I've found everything on this pack useful and well thought out. I can imagine that the add-on backpack straps would be useful, and I'll probably buy them later. My quest to find a flexible, reliable and comfortable pack/bag to carry my camera is not over. Based on previous reviews I had high expectations for this pack, but am overall not that impressed. The pack is well built, quality seems good and will last. That said, it sports a very inadequate system to switch between shoulder strap and backpack strapettes. This is a big flaw, very difficult to explain. The lack of pen compartments is also a big flaw: a pen can easily be broken by the weight of a camera, and the risk of an ink spill in the bag is serious should that happen. Past the design flaws, the use: took it for a walk uphill with camera, spare lens and water bottle. Lumbar straps very uncomfortable going uphill, shoulder strap cut into neck and shoulder big time. I wasn't neither comfortable nor impressed by the ease of access. I will keep looking and this pack will get a couple more trials then find its way to Ebay if it can't redeem itself with me. I have been using the pack everyday for work and it works out extremely well. I bought the pack to use as an all purpose bag for work as well as traveling, hiking and camping. It is built with heavy use in mind. The load that I have been hauling has stretched the pack to close to its limits, but it is holding up rather well. I look forward to hopefully years of use. Mine is almost ten years old but looks similar from the same company. I have used this pack for some awesome adventures and if you haven't yet tried a lumbar pack, weight one up and try moving around in it. To me it is safer for the weight to be in the middle of my body for off trail work. Also, this pack adjusts so well that you don't even feel the belt if you adjust the straps in the proper order. . pulling the load tightening straps last, every time you put it on. If you don't, pretty soon the belt is extended all the way and you no longer are using the side padding. This pack carries everything I need for a 24 hour stay and unlike my backpack, I can get stuff out of it easily without taking the pack off. I use mine for mountain biking as well and on a bike it is a real relief not to have that extra weight on your shoulders to put more stress on your wrists as you ride. In a fall, I have been able to land on the pack and not hurt myself. I would love to get a new one, but my old one is in great shape and I can't justify it. Oh one other thing, the shape of a woman might be more conducive to this pack fitting well. If you have no hips at all it could be a problem. Enjoy. Average Rating:![]() |
